23-year-old Anthony came through the youth system at European heavyweight Liverpool before joining Burnley in 2018. Despite being named captain of their under-23 team shortly after arriving at Turf Moor, he never made a league appearance for the Clarets.

A loan move to the Mariners in January 2020 saw the left-back start his first spell at Blundell Park, making twelve league appearances for the club in lockdown football.

Before joining Town permanently ahead of our EFL return last summer, he had a fifteen-appearance loan spell with Barrow after joining the Cumbrians on loan in January 2022.

In his first season after permanently joining the club, Glennon made 31 league appearances for Paul Hurst’s Town team, scoring two goals.
