Aaron has progressed all the way through the Mariners’ Academy system after impressing during an open trial session at Under 9 level. A tenacious midfielder with an eye for a pass, local lad Braithwaite is from Grimsby and has been an ever-present in the Youth Team and Reserve team during the 2021/22 season.

Aaron has made the first-team squad this season also in the FA Trophy game away at Stockport. Many Mariners fans were treated to their first sight of Aaron during the 2021/22 pre-season campaign, where he started against Cleethorpes Town, putting in an energetic and impressive performance.

Aaron made his professional debut for the Mariners as a substitute in the Papa John's Trophy away to Derby County in 2022 before making his league debut against Crewe Alexandra at Blundell Park in April.
