Ben Toner will be the man with the whistle when the Mariners host Southend United on Saturday. 

The Lancashire-based official will travel to Blundell Park for his 18th game of the current campaign, having being promoted from the National League in 2015/16. 

Ben is no stranger to Blundell Park and took charge of last season’s opening home fixture against Bradford City. He also officiated in Town games in the National League, the last being the 2015 play-off semi-final at Eastleigh. 

In his previous 17 games this season he has shown 52 Yellow Cards and two Red Cards. 

Paul Evans and Billy Smallwood will assist Mr Toner, the fourth official will be Wayne Grunnill.
