Grimsby hosted Huddersfield in the last game of the regular season before the Merit League begins in two weeks.
Town started on the front foot, pressing high and creating numerous chances. Tomlinson tapped in a rebound when Milner struck from distance after three minutes, Adlard went close as well as Essel, all being denied by good saves.
Town doubled their lead when Adlard finished off and excellent moved and soon after made it three when the keeper was dispossessed and Milner scored from distance.
Town created more chances when Milner, Hodgson and Tomlinson all went close.
The second half was much of the same, Town went close through Essel, Brown and Adlard all denied by the keeper.
Huddersfield did get a late consolation goal, but Town ran out comfortable winners on the day.
