Town defender Shaun Pearson has joined Boston United on a month’s loan.
The 33-year-old, who is closing in on 300 appearances for the club, has featured six times for the Mariners this season. Pearson initially signed for Town in 2011 from Boston United where he made 67 appearances during his two-year spell with the Pilgrims.
Speaking of Shaun’s loan move, Town boss Paul Hurst said:
“Everyone knows what I think of Shaun and the influence he has around the club and on the players. I love his attitude and how he conducts himself.
“But due to the lack of first team opportunities at this moment in time, and knowing how much Shaun would like to be playing, I have agreed for him to join Boston for a month.
“I’d like him to have the opportunity to go out and get some games and have that reward at the end of a week’s training. I’d like to wish him well back at one of his, and my, former clubs.”
The experienced centre-back will now join up with Ian Culverhouse’s side and could feature in their next game against Leamington on Saturday in the National League North.
Go well, Shaun!
