We can confirm that Luke Waterfall has also joined Hartlepool United on a free transfer after ending his deal with the Club by mutual consent.
The wholehearted defender had been a regular at Blundell Park since he joined from Shrewsbury Town in 2019, often wearing the captain’s armband.
The 33-year-old featured 46 times during the 2021-22 campaign – the year we won promotion back to the EFL via the play-offs – and famously scored the winning goal in the 5-4 victory against Wrexham in the semi-final.
In total, Waterfall made 177 appearances for the Club, scoring 15 goals, during his five-year spell with the Mariners.
Everyone would like to thank Luke for his contributions in a black and white shirt and wish him well at Hartlepool.
