GTFC Heritage Project launch player certificates

The Grimsby Town Heritage Project #RememberWhenGTFC have officially launched their certificate handouts.

These certificates, along with a pin badge, will be handed out to every single former Town player who has played at least one professional game for the club since its birth in 1878.

All of the current squad will also receive one of these certificates and pin badges later in the week.

For former-players who are no longer with us, their official certificates will be gifted to their families.

The certificates note the player’s names, their heritage number as well as their debut game as well as holding an embossed Heritage logo.

Dave Worthington was officially the first former player to receive this gift from the heritage project as he collected his certificate before Saturday’s game against Swindon Town. Dave is player #734 for the Club, having made his goal scoring debut away to Barnsley in the league cup in 1966.

The GTFC heritage site will update numbers as presentations are made HERE.
