Worthington in McMenemy’s for Colchester United

We’re excited to welcome former captain Dave Worthington back to Blundell Park this Saturday for our clash with Colchester United as the special guest in McMenemy’s.

Yorkshire-born Worthington featured in nearly 300 games for the Mariners during his seven-year stint from 1966 to 1973, netting 14 goals. During his time at the club, he captained the side and played a crucial role in securing the 1971/72 Division Four title. Over his 15-year career, Worthington also represented Halifax Town, Barrow, and Southend United, alongside a brief foray into management. After retiring, he transitioned into scouting, working with various clubs across the English football pyramid.

Before Saturday’s match, the former defender will join our matchday host in McMenemy’s, sharing some of his fondest footballing memories and participating in a Q&A session. Hospitality guests will also have the opportunity to meet and greet Worthington.

With prices starting at just £30 per person and an exciting match in store against the U’s, click here to secure your match-day hospitality.
