We are pleased to announce the signing of 20-year-old goalkeeper, Charlie Casper, who joins us on a season-long loan from Premier League side Burnley.

The 6’3 shot-stopper began his youth development at Burnley, joining the club as a 12-year-old and progressing through their academy ranks to earn his first professional contract in 2023.

Casper is the grandson of Burnley legend Frank Casper and son of Chris Casper, the former Manchester United player who spent time as Assistant Manager at the Mariners.

Casper gained recognition as Burnley’s Academy Player of the Season in 2023 and has gained vital experience during loan spells at FC United of Manchester and Bamber Bridge and now makes the move to Sky Bet League Two.
