We can confirm that our game against Chesterfield on Saturday will be a Remembrance Matchday.
This weekend, we’ll continue the tradition of honouring the contribution of Armed Forces communities, past and present, at our home matchday closest to Remembrance Day.
Ahead of kick-off, representatives from both clubs will lay wreathes in the centre circle, before players, coaches and supporters come together to obverse a period of silence followed by a rendition of the ‘Last Post’.
The players and coaches will wear black armbands displaying the Poppy emblem as a mark of respect and PC Danny Fleming will play the bagpipes outside the ground as supporters arrive to Blundell Park.
Members of North East Lincolnshire for Heroes (NEL4Heroes), a peer-to-peer support network dedicated to helping ex-service personnel and active members of the Armed Forces navigate the challenges of military life, will also be at the game to mark the occasion.
Services Personnel Ticket Offer
With Saturday being our Remembrance Matchday, we would like to see as many serving and former members of the Armed Forces at the game.
Supporters who are linked to those services can purchase tickets in the Osmond Covered Corner at the discounted price of £18 – subject to availability.
This ‘Services Personnel’ offer is in place for the whole of the 2025-26 campaign for Sky Bet League Two fixtures at Blundell Park.
For more information, visit the Ticket Office or call 01472 605050 between 10am and 4pm.
We look forward to Saturday’s big game against the Spireites and also paying homage to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
