We are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper, Richard O’Donnell, on an emergency 7-day loan from EFL Championship side Derby County.
The 37-year-old joined the Rams in the summer, bringing a wealth of experience in the EFL – with over 400 appearances across League One, League Two, and the Championship spanning over nearly two decades, including a loan spell with the Mariners back in 2010.
O’Donnell began his career with his boyhood club, Sheffield Wednesday, making 20 appearances for the Owls along with loan spells at Rotherham United, Oldham Athletic, Macclesfield Town, and the Mariners.
His most prolific run thus far came with League One side Bradford City, where O’Donnell became a regular in the starting line-up, making over 130 appearances over a 4 year spell.
Richard will wear the number 38 shirt, and joins the side in time for Saturday’s away fixture at Swindon Town.
