Following a prolonged period of challenging weather conditions, the Club would like to provide supporters with an update on the playing surface at Blundell Park ahead of tomorrow’s fixture.

The pitch is currently deemed playable in line with EFL guidance. However, as a precautionary measure, there will be a pitch inspection tomorrow at 2:30pm. A further update will be issued as soon as the inspection has been completed.

We have experienced consistent rainfall over the past six days, adding to an already unprecedented amount of rain in recent weeks.

Our ground staff deserve tremendous credit for their tireless efforts, which ensured both the recent League fixture against Accrington and Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup tie went ahead as scheduled.

The team continue their preparations for Wednesday evening’s match against Walsall. We will keep supporters informed of any further developments at the earliest opportunity.
