Leigh Doughty will take charge of only his second Town game when the Mariners host Newport County AFC in the Emirates FA Cup this Saturday.
The Lancashire-based official was the man with the whistle when the Mariners faced Forest Green Rovers earlier in the season – following his promotion to the National List of Referees after one campaign on the National League.
A PE teacher by profession, he began refereeing in 2007 and was handed the play-off semi-final between Salford City and Eastleigh in the National League last season.
In 10 games so far this season he has shown 23 Yellow Cards and 3 Red Cards.
Mr Leigh will be assisted by David Benton and Alix Pashley.
