Ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, the Youth Team are delighted to welcome a new cohort of First Year scholars to Grimsby Town.
The group features a blend of academy graduates and exciting new additions, all of whom will take the next step in their development as they begin their full-time journeys with the Club.
Joe Roberts
Joe joins the Club from Middlesbrough FC as an athletic and vocal goalkeeper.
Already involved with the Under 18s this season, Joe brings presence and confidence between the posts and will link up with the squad full-time during pre-season as he makes the move from the North East.

Rhys Hall
Rhys is another goalkeeper arriving from the North East, having also spent time at Middlesbrough.
With an impressive physical profile and excellent distribution, Rhys has already played a role in the Youth Team’s title-winning campaign this season and adds further strength to the goalkeeping department.

Harry Ward
A product of the Club’s academy, Harry is a left-footed central midfielder who is technically strong and capable of controlling games.
Comfortable at left-back as well, Harry offers versatility and composure on the ball. The Cleethorpes-based midfielder has progressed through the ranks and now takes the next step in his development.

Cameron Carter
Another academy graduate, Cam is a left-sided defender who is dominant in the air.
Having made his Under 18s debut as an Under 15, he has already shown his potential at a higher level. A local player from Cleethorpes, Cam continues the Club’s strong pathway for homegrown talent.

Curtis Manyika
Curtis joins the Mariners from Leeds United and adds creativity and flair to the attacking areas.
An exciting forward player with exceptional technical ability, Curtis has already contributed to the Under 18s this season and will look to build on that as a scholar.

James Binks
James arrives from Barnsley FC as a powerful and commanding centre-back.
Strong physically and comfortable in possession, James can also operate in midfield and brings both versatility and a competitive edge to the group.

Keelan Bryan
A local player who attends Tollbar School, Keelan is another versatile left-sided option.
Capable of playing at centre-back, left-back or further forward, he is an athletic and dominant presence, particularly in aerial duels.

Fortune Jack
Fortune joined the Club’s academy at Under 14 level and has developed into a quick and clinical centre-forward.
Based in Hull, he has scored a number of important goals for the Under 17s this season and also featured in Town’s FA Youth Cup campaign, underlining his attacking threat.

Darius Neagu
Darius is an exciting attacking player who has already been involved with the Under 18s this season.
With a strong record of goals and assists, he has also earned international recognition with a call-up to the Romanian national team at youth level. Another Hull-based player, Darius continues his development with the Club after joining at Under 14 level.

Henry Chisholm
Henry is another long-standing academy player and a local talent attending school in Caistor.
Comfortable in both central midfield and centre-back, Henry is a competitive and reliable performer who brings energy and determination to the squad.

With a strong mix of local talent and players joining from across the country, the new cohort represents an exciting future for the Club.
Everyone at Grimsby Town would like to welcome the scholars and wish them every success as they begin their journey in black and white.
