Grimsby Town midfielder Kieran Green has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award for April following a series of outstanding performances.
Known for his relentless energy and trademark rolled-down socks, Green played a pivotal role in driving the Mariners into the play-off places during a crucial run-in.
The midfielder combined tireless work rate with real attacking output, registering four goals and two assists across the month, with his contributions proving decisive in a number of key victories.
Green’s impact was felt throughout April, starting with a goal against Harrogate Town before Town responded strongly with a run of wins.
He was instrumental in victories over Crewe Alexandra and Gillingham, delivering a standout performance at Priestfield where he scored, assisted twice and earned an impressive match rating.
Another key moment came away at Cambridge United, where his goal helped secure a vital three points, while he also featured in the emphatic 4-0 win over Swindon Town that confirmed Town’s play-off place.
Three of Green’s four goals came via powerful headers, underlining his attacking threat from midfield and his ability to influence games in both boxes.
His all-action displays, leadership and consistency have made him a standout performer during one of the most important periods of the season.
Everyone at the Club would like to congratulate Greeny on his nomination.
