Grimsby Town Football Club is delighted to confirm the appointment of Richard Hallsworth as a Non-Executive Director.
Richard brings a wealth of experience across business planning, risk management, governance and corporate finance underpinned by a strong background in both accountancy and marketing.
He is a member of the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) and CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing). He has prior experience of regulatory environments holding a non-executive role at Lincoln Bishop University where he chaired both the audit and finance committees during his time there.
Richard joined Nicholsons in 2004, became a Partner in 2007 and was appointed Managing Director in 2022. In his professional career, Richard has worked with a broad range of clients, from independent and family-run businesses through to large corporate groups, social enterprises and charities.
He has expertise across a broad range of sectors where he uses his combined financial and marketing knowledge to empower businesses to improve profitability, support growth and make informed strategic decisions.
A lifelong Mariners supporter, Richard is looking forward to supporting the Club in an official capacity.
He said: “I’m incredibly proud to be joining Grimsby Town as a Non-Executive Director. I’ve supported the Club for over 35 years and it’s a real privilege to have the opportunity to contribute behind the scenes at such an exciting time for the Mariners.”
