A Statement from Erreà regarding the delay of our 18/19 GTFC kit stock.
“As many of you know, here at Erreà we produce all our clothing in our own factories in Europe.
This has meant that over the last 10 years, we have been able to supply Grimsby Town F.C. and its fans with unique designs in fabrics of the highest quality.
This year, we have seen a massive increase in demand for our clothing and in particular for custom made garments, thanks in part to the participation of Iceland in the upcoming World Cup Finals. This increase has meant that, since the start of the year, demand for our clothing has continually exceeded the production capacity of our factories.
We decided that we would not sub-contract production to other factories, as this would mean risking supplying garments that were not up to our high standards of quality, and continue to complete production of all orders in our own facilities, but this resulted in our production schedules not being in line with the dates that were original given to our partner clubs.
Ultimately, this means that we will not be able to deliver the quantity of garments required for the scheduled kit launch date of 2nd June and so the Club has decided to temporarily postpone.
We would like to extend our apologies to both Club and fans for this delay and hope that everyone will understand that it has come about from our commitment to provide you with the best quality of clothing that we can and that it was better to make a small compromise on the date of the kit launch, rather than compromise on the quality that you have come to expect from us.”
Grimsby Town Football Club would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. A revised date for the shirt launched will be published in due course.
