Newcastle referee Sebastian Stockbridge will be the man with the whistle for Tuesday’s Leasing.com Trophy tie against Leicester City.

The official last took charge of Town against Macclesfield last season, a game which saw the Mariners go down to a 2-0 defeat.

Stockbridge was promoted from the National League level back in 2012 after impressing over two seasons at that standard, and also took charge of several Mariners games during that period.

In 13 games so far this season he has shown 44 Yellow Cards and 4 Red Cards.

He will be assisted on Tuesday night by David Plowright and David Benton, the fourth official will be Robert Atkin
