Supporters at Blundell Park tomorrow will have the chance to welcome the newest members of the Grimsby Town family, as next season’s Academy Under-8s are introduced to the club and its fans.
The young players will be recognised on the stadium scoreboard at half-time, marking the beginning of their journey with the Mariners, while supporters can also learn more about the group in the matchday programme.
Over the course of this season, the players have worked incredibly hard to earn their places within the Academy, demonstrating commitment, enthusiasm and real potential throughout the recruitment process. Their efforts have now been rewarded as they take the next step in their development with the club.
Along the way, the group have already enjoyed some fantastic experiences, including fixtures against leading academies such as Liverpool and Manchester United. Opportunities like these have provided valuable learning moments as they continue to develop both on and off the pitch.
Everyone at Grimsby Town would like to congratulate the players and their families, and we look forward to following their progress in the famous black and white stripes in the years ahead.
