Grimsby Town interim manager Anthony Limbrick feels his side deserved all three points as they drew 0-0 with Cheltenham Town at Blundell Park.
The Mariners had the better of the chances in the Sky Bet League Two clash with Michael Duffโs side, and came close through shots from Elliott Whitehouse and Matt Green.
But it ended goalless as Town moved up to 18th-place in the league โ still with two games in hand on most sides around them.
And Limbrick was disappointed that the Mariners couldnโt quite get all three points from the game.
Speaking on iFollow Mariners, he said: โI thought going into the break 0-0 was unfortunate for us โ I thought we got right on the front foot early in the game.
โWe created numerous chances, we worked the goalkeeper, and I thought we passed the ball quite well in the first half which was pleasing.
โSo for us to come in 0-0 at half time really the better side, I thought that was a little bit harsh on us.
โSecond half I felt we probably ran out of steam a little bit because we tried to keep pressing and on the front foot.
โI think thatโs probably the first time in a while that weโve had three games in a week, and I think that probably showed a little bit.
โThe boys gave everything โ it was 100 per cent commitment from every single player, and everyone came on and had an impact, so Iโve got to be pleased with the performance.
โBut unfortunately I think we should be sitting here after the game with three points.โ
And Limbrick said heโs enjoying his current role as interim manager at Blundell Park.
He said: โWeโd like to get into some good training during that time, and weโve got the schedule sorted for the rest of this week.
โWho knows whatโs going to happen in terms of the situation with myself and where we are? Weโll wait and see.
โIโm really enjoying the role at the moment, trying to help the players as much as I can.
โThe players were playing for everyone at the club tonight โ for the fans, themselves, and for everyone.โ
