Head Coach David Artell has been shortlisted for the EFL Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month award for March after an impressive run of results that kept the Mariners firmly in the promotion picture.

From the 15 points available during the month, Town collected 10, producing a series of strong performances against both promotion rivals and teams fighting at the other end of the table.

The run began with a crucial 3-1 victory over fellow promotion chasers Salford City, before the Mariners battled to a hard-earned 1-1 draw against league leaders Bromley.

Artell’s side then showed their resilience with a dramatic last-minute winner against Fleetwood Town, before finishing the month in emphatic fashion with a dominant 5-0 victory over Barrow at Blundell Park.

Across the month, the Mariners combined attacking quality with the determination and togetherness that have become key characteristics of Artell’s team as the season approaches its decisive stages.

The nomination recognises both the consistency of Town’s performances and the leadership shown by the Head Coach in guiding the squad through an important period of the campaign.
