We are delighted to announce that Blackrow Group will become the Club’s new front of shirt sponsor on a three-year deal from the 2026–27 season.
The agreement marks an exciting expansion of the partnership between the Mariners and the Grimsby-based engineering business, who first joined the Club as sleeve sponsor ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
From the start of the upcoming season, the Blackrow Group logo will take pride of place on the front of the Mariners’ shirts, representing a significant step forward in the relationship between the two organisations.
Established for more than 45 years, Blackrow Group has grown from its local roots into a highly respected engineering and fabrication business operating across the UK and internationally. The company provides specialist engineering solutions to a wide range of industries including Food and Beverage, Chemical, Petrochemical, Renewables, and Oil & Gas.
Blackrow operates from a 14,000 sqm state-of-the-art facility on the Humber South Bank in Grimsby, with a 1,400 sqm workshop in Broughton Astley added in 2025 to support its expanding UK-wide and international client base. Strategically located with excellent transport links and close to the ports of Grimsby and Immingham, the company delivers complex engineering projects across a wide range of sectors.
Across all sectors, Blackrow is recognised for their commitment to safety, quality, and reliability, supporting clients with innovative, tailored engineering solutions.
Commenting on the announcement, Nick Rands, Operations Director at Blackrow Group, speaking on behalf of the Blackrow shareholders, said:
“It gives us great pride and privilege to be announced as the new front of shirt sponsor. This moment signifies how far the business has come over the past 45 years, and the journey we have taken to reach this point.
“To be able to share this achievement with all our employees, as well as the wider community, is something we are incredibly proud of. It also reinforces our position as one of the town’s largest employers and our ongoing commitment to the local area.
“Our collective ambitions are centred around building a long-term partnership for years to come. We share the same values and ethos, and a strong belief in representing the town with pride, both on and off the field.”
Grimsby Town CEO Polly Bancroft welcomed the strengthened partnership between the Club and one of the region’s most established engineering businesses.
Polly said: “We are incredibly proud to expand our partnership with Blackrow Group as they become our front of shirt sponsor for the next three years.
“Blackrow is a fantastic example of a successful local business that has grown significantly while remaining rooted in the community. As one of the area’s major employers, they share many of the same values as the Club and their continued support demonstrates the strength of the relationship between the Mariners and the local business community.
“We are grateful for their ongoing commitment to Grimsby Town and we look forward to working even more closely together over the coming seasons.”
Lewis Crowther, Head of Business Development at Blackrow Group, added:
“This is a moment of real pride for both myself and the wider Blackrow team. To see the business take this step and be announced as front of shirt sponsor reflects not only the strength of our growth, but also the direction we are heading in.
“It is a clear statement of our commitment to the town, the club, and the community that has supported us over the years.
“This partnership represents more than just sponsorship. It is about building long-term relationships, supporting local success, and aligning ourselves with an organisation that shares our values, ambition, and sense of identity.
“I am proud to be part of a business that continues to invest in its people, its community, and its future.”
The new partnership represents a major milestone for both organisations, bringing together a proud football club with deep community roots and one of the region’s most respected engineering businesses, as the Mariners look ahead to an exciting new chapter.
Supporters will see the Blackrow Group logo on the front of the Mariners’ shirts for the first time in the summer.
