Blundell Park To Host Broadley FC Legends Day- Tickets Now On Sale

Tickets are now on sale for Broadley FC’s Legends Day on Sunday 15th August, kicking off at 3pm.

Broadley F.C. are a football club formed in 2013 to remember the life of Richard Broadley, a Mariners fan whom sadly passed away from Leukaemia shortly after his 20th birthday.

The club has two Sunday League teams, one based in Lincoln where Rich attended University and one based in Grimsby, where Rich was born and bred. Their main sponsor is Man vs. Food star and friend of Grimsby Town, Adam Richman.

Since its creation, Broadley F.C. has raised over £21,300 for Blood Cancer UK in memory of Richard.

Broadley F.C. Chairman Matt Newton said “We would like to place on record our thanks to Jason, Andrew and everyone at Grimsby Town Football Club for facilitating the Legends Day event.

“The event itself will be a chance for fans to see their former Mariners heroes, either in a playing or non-playing capacity, whilst raising money for a fantastic cause close to our hearts.

“I would also like to thank John McDermott for working with us and helping us create a day everyone will hopefully enjoy!

UTM! UTB!”

GTFC Chair Jason Stockwood spoke of his delight at being able to host the event this summer. “Our intention as new owners is to amplify our role within the community”, said Stockwood. “This is a brilliant opportunity to support a great cause with the added bonus of reconnecting the club with so many great players from the past. I am personally really looking forward to the day”.

Tickets can be purchased online at gtfctickets.co.uk and are priced at £5 for adults and £2 for concessions.
