We at Grimsby Town Sports and Education Trust offer NCS which will give year 11s a perfect end to their school lives and a great step into the big wide world!

NCS is a personal development programme which was established in 2011, and now has nearly half a million graduates across the country. Summer 2019 is your chance to get involved and to shape their future.

This is a once in a lifetime experience that you will never forget. GCSEs will be over and NCS is the perfect way to celebrate and learn new skills to prepare you for the coming years ahead.

Best of all, NCS is a Government-funded programme and you will never contribute more than £50 for the entire four weeks. The waves we have this summer are: Group 1: 15th July 2019 – 9th August 2019, Group 2: 22nd July 2019 – 16th August 2019, Group 3: 29th July 2019 – 23rd August 2019.

What does NCS involve?

Phase 1: Adventure

A chance to let off some steam, take a step out of their comfort zone, and get stuck into a variety of awesome activities on a 5-day residential experience out in the countryside. Transport, meals and accommodation are all provided.

Phase 2: Discovery

A further 5-day stay away where you will develop life skills like confidence, leadership and teamwork. They will learn how to live independently and discover new skills in surroundings different to school.

Phases 3 and 4: Action

Working in teams, they’ll put their new skills into practice by planning and delivering a social action project of their choice in the local area. This is their chance to make a lasting difference on something right here in Grimsby.

Graduation

Come back together as a team to relive their favourite NCS memories and celebrate all they’ve achieved. They will also pick up their certificate signed by the Prime Minister, and find out about the opportunities available to them as an NCS Graduate.

How much does it cost?

We will never ask you for more than a £50 contribution, which will guarantee your spot on our summer experience. Everything is then all-inclusive, from food to accommodation to transport to the amazing things you’ll be getting up to!

HOW TO GET INVOLVED?

There are two ways to sign up:

1) Email ncs@gtfc.couk to gather all the sign up information and programme date information which you will need to complete and send back to secure your son/daughters place.

2) Go to www.NCSYES.CO.UK and complete the online forms to secure your place on the programme.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Once your application is complete we will confirm your place and send a welcome pack to you with further details. One of our NCS team will then contact you to and answer any questions you might have about the programme.

You will also be invited to keep warm events, and be given details of other pre-programme activities that will allow your son/daughter the opportunity to meet other participants that are on the programme to ensure they are looking forward to their NCS experience.
