Club Lottery – Coronavirus Response: Temporary Change In Prize Fund

As you will be aware, the Coronavirus outbreak has had an unprecedented impact on all aspects of daily life and the Lottery here at The Mariners is no different. Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and involvement in the Lottery, however recently difficult conversations have taken place.

The health of our staff and members is at the forefront of all our minds as you would expect. With this in mind, we took the step to pause our cash collection memberships, which has had a serious impact on our income. However, we are very keen to try to retain some kind of normality and ensure that the valuable funds we raise to support our community initiatives are kept intact as much as possible. This has been reaffirmed after many conversations with members and other stakeholders alike who wish to carry on.

With that in mind that we have been liaising with our colleagues at partner lottery providers (NYCDA and the NYCDA Weekly Draw) and now taken the step to temporarily reduce the prize fund for the duration of the outbreak down to £1,275 from the 22nd April. This means that you will be able to win a £1000 jackpot, plus £100, £50, £25 and ten £10 prizes every week, alongside our many non-cash prizes, as well as continuing to provide support for the fantastic causes we all know and love.

We very much hope to retain your support at this time and should you still wish to play at this time, but you can’t play due to the pausing of cash collection rounds, we do have a direct debit option for you to consider.

Finally, if you want more information such as, how to discuss your membership, accessing the weekly results and what are the causes funds raised support, please contact a member of the lottery team via, or You can also sign up for The Mariners Lottery online from just £1 a week by filling in a direct debit form by clicking here.
