Cockerill in McMenemy’s on Saturday

We are looking forward to welcoming back a very special guest for our game against Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.

Local lad John Cockerill made over 100 appearances for the Mariners between 1988 and 1992 and was part a member of the Alan Buckley teams which gained successive promotions. Cockers remained part of the Grimsby Town set-up after his retirement, holding the position of Community Coach, Youth Coach, Reserve Team Manager, Caretaker Manager and Assistant Manager when the Mariners enjoyed a historic double during the 1997-98 season.

The former midfielder will be in McMenemy’s before Saturday’s game alongside our matchday host Dave Smith where he will take part in a Q&A and discuss some of his favourite Town memories with the Mariners. There will also be opportunities for hospitality guests to meet and greet the former Town star.

If you would like to choose one of our matchday hospitality packages for this weekend, you can by clicking here. Alternatively, you could email [email protected] or call 01472 605050 if you’d like to discuss your options or customise your package.
