Community Fun Day Today

In conjunction with the Mariners Trust and Grimsby Town Sports & Education Trust, we are pleased to announce that our annual Community Fun Day will return to Blundell Park today.

From 10am to 3pm on Sunday, the annual GTFC Community Fun Day will take place at Blundell Park, with a number of fantastic events and activities set to take place throughout the day. From football darts and a football speed game to Brazilian dancers and Indian drummers, there will be something for everybody to enjoy!

The Mariners Trust Bar, situated in the Young’s Lower Stand will be open for hot and cold refreshments throughout the day and in addition, we look forward to welcoming Masala Masters, who will be available to serve authentic Indian food.

Sunday will also give supporters the perfect opportunity to meet their heroes, with the players taking part in an open training session from 11:30am. Following the conclusion of their training session, the players will return to the pitch and stands for an autograph session with supporters. Please note that the pitch will remain out of bounds throughout the day, in order for it to remain in as good condition as possible ahead of the start of the 19/20 season.

We are also pleased to welcome a number of great organisations, of which include the newly formed ‘Fans of the Future’. Those wishing to gain further information on their causes and also for those wishing to make any donations will be able to find them situated in and around the grounds throughout the day. Fans of the Future can be found on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Supporters will also be able to meet members of our new Grimsby Town Women’s Team, who will be in attendance on the day.

Like last year, we encourage all supporters to show their colours and wear their GTFC shirts when attending the Community Fun Day. Following the conclusion of the open training session, a photo alongside the first team and management will take place.
