Croudson Signs As Goalkeeper Coach

Grimsby Town Football Club is delighted to announce that Steve Croudson has returned to the Mariners as Goalkeeper Coach!

Croudson returns to the club after eight years, following his spells at Hull City and most recently Lincoln City where he developed an excellent reputation for his coaching abilities between the sticks.

Manager Paul Hurst spoke to GTTV this afternoon, emphasising his delight at working with his former coach once again.

“He will bring enthusiasm, some quality and a love for the club in truth. I think this has always been Steve’s football club. I worked with him the first time I was here and was sad to see him go at the time, there have been times where we have messaged and seen each other at a game and things like that and my thoughts towards him had never changed.

“I think what he has done is go away and improve as a goalkeeper coach, but the person himself hasn’t changed. He will bring some life and a different voice for the keepers to work with and I think he fits us incredibly well. I am delighted that we have managed to get him back and I am looking forward to playing head tennis in the mornings and enjoying some good times together.”

We caught up with Steve this afternoon following his confirmation as a new member of staff and you can see his interview in full below. Be sure to subscribe to our official YouTube channel to never miss an upload.
