Cass was added to David Artell’s backline ahead of the 2024-25 season on a two year deal.

The 24-year-old signed for Port Vale in the summer of 2022 and made 71 appearances for the Valliant's before being released this summer.

The defender joined Stockport County on loan for the second half of the 2023-24 season and he helped the Hatters win promotion into League One.

Cass progressed through the ranks at Newcastle United, appearing on the bench for the last game of the 2018-19 Premier League season and an FA Cup tie in January 2020.

Whilst with the Magpies, the defender was loaned out to Hartlepool for the 2020-21 season, helping them reach a play-off position, in which the Pools went on to win pro-motion.

Cass was loaned out to Port Vale for the 2021-22 season, before making his move per-manent in July 2022.
