Dudley Ramsden

Grimsby Town Football Club was very sad to learn of the recent passing of Life President, Dudley Ramsden.

Dudley is a former Chairman of the Club, a position he held for a short time in 1985, and was twice on the board of directors between 1980-1985 and later 2001-2002.

The supermarket impresario and co-founder of NISA-TODAYS retail co-operative, he was a driving force behind the construction of the ‘Findus Family Stand’ at Blundell Park during his first spell as Director.

He returned to the Mariners board in January 2001 until December 2002 before becoming Life President – a position he held up until his passing on Friday following a short illness.

Our thoughts are with Dudley’s family and friends at this difficult time.

Once a Mariner, always a Mariner.
