Carson became David Artell’s third signing of the 2024 summer transfer window on a two-year deal.

The left-back began his career as a youngster in the Liverpool academy before joining Burnley’s youth set-up in 2019. During his time with the Clarets, he enjoyed loan spells at Nelson and Padiham.

In 2021, the Chester-born defender made the move to Accrington Stanley, where he went out on loan to Carrick Rangers, AFC Telford and Stalybridge Celtic.

Carson then moved to Reading and made 10 appearances for the Royal’s last season prior to his release.
