Charlie Casper joined the Mariners on a season-long loan from Premier League side Burnley in August 2025.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper has been with the Clarets since the age of 12, progressing through their academy ranks before signing his first professional contract in 2023.

Standing at 6’3, Casper was named Burnley’s Academy Player of the Season in 2023 and has gained First Team experience during loan spells with FC United of Manchester and Bamber Bridge.

Football runs in his family — his grandfather is Burnley legend Frank Casper, while his father, Chris Casper, is a former Manchester United player and ex-Grimsby Town Assistant Manager.
