Wright joined the Mariners in the summer of 2024-25 on a two-year deal from Lincoln City and made 37 appearances across all competitions in his first season in black and white, keeping six clean sheets and notably saving a penalty in a 0-0 draw away at Newport County.

The 25-year-old began his career moving through the ranks at Nottingham Forest and during his 6-year spell at the City Ground, had loan spells at Alfreton Town, Kettering Town, Grantham Town, Nuneaton Borough, Alloa Athletic and Hereford.

The shot-stopper made 31 appearances for the Imps before making the move to Blundell Park.
