Gardner hails from the North East and joined the club as a scholar ahead of the 2022-23 season from Gateshead.
The promising forward signed his first professional contract with the club on his 18th birthday in 2023 and made his first-team debut in an EFL Trophy fixture in the same month, before going out on loan to Grimsby Borough and returning to the Mariners. Garnder is one of the club’s promising academy graduates, playing a key role as Town’s forward in our victory over Manchester United.
Cameron has made 19 appearances for the Mariners across all competitions and opened his account for Town in an EFL Trophy fixture away at Chesterfield in 2024-25.
The 21-year-old forward signed a new deal with the Mariners in 2025, keeping him with the Club until 2028.
