Freeview | Jolley On The Yeovil Victory

Listen to what Town boss Michael Jolley had to say after the fine 3-1 win at Yeovil Town today.

“I wouldn’t use the word comfortable, but it was a win and I think we deserved the win overall, Jolley said.

“We started the game on the front foot and got ourselves ahead. Macca (James McKeown) had one big save to make in the first half, but I think most of the chances were for us.

“We were pleased to go in 2-0 up at half-time, but probably felt it could have been more.

“In the second half, it was more difficult for them because they had to take more risks, and of course the sending off hurt them as well.

“The only disappointment really is that we didn’t finish off some of the chances that we did create.

“You can definitely level at us today that we didn’t take anywhere near enough of the proportion of chances that we did create, but the positive is that we created chances and did look a threat, with the players we have got and the movement we have got.

“Overall we are pleased with our performance and it’s another step forward.”

And the Town boss was delighted after Kristian Dennis got off the mark for the Mariners today.

Jolley added: “He’s a terrific player. We’ve really welcomed him with open arms and he’s really integrated quickly into the squad. We enjoy working with him and his finishing is absolutely first class, and when he went through there one-on-one I had absolutely no doubt that he was going to score.”
