Grimsby Town boss Michael Jolley has hailed the importance of the Emirates FA Cup ahead of Sundayโs second round tie with Chesterfield (2pm).
Town travel to the Proact Stadium to face Martin Allenโs side on Sunday, with the aim of reaching the third round for just the second time since 2004.
And Jolley hopes the Mariners can progress as far as possible in the competition.
Speaking on iFollow Mariners, he said: โI think itโs vitally important. For a club like Grimsby Town, the FA Cup is a big deal.
โAnd I think weโre going to be backed by a really good following of our fans on Sunday.
โAnd weโre very much looking forward to the game โ itโs a very important one for us, and weโll be trying to win it.โ
Martyn Woolford didnโt train today, and will undergo a late fitness test ahead of Sundayโs game.
Akin Famewo, Reece Hall-Johnson, and Elliott Whitehouse remain sidelined with injuries.
