Freeview | The Players Are Beginning To Gel Now – Davis

Saturday’s man of the match and two goal hero, Harry Davis spoke exclusively to iFollow after Saturday’s 4-0 win against Notts County.

Speaking of his goal brace, he admitted the first goal was a bit dubious. He said: “The first one was probably an own goal, because I was the closest man, I thought I would claim it. The second one was nice as well – header at the back post. Yes it was nice to get a couple of goals.

“Delighted with the result. We knew that we could have been a bit better at times, but we showed a real togetherness, really stuck at it and was difficult to beat.

“And on the counter-attack we did show a lot of pace and creativity, took the goals well.”

The players are beginning to gel now.

“We had a lot of turnover of players in the summer, so obviously it’s going to take time for us to gel.

“I think that now you are beginning to see the lads getting to know each other, and we are starting to make this place a bit of a fortress to come to.”
