Further Improvement To Fan Engagement Announced

Grimsby Town have been working the Mariners Trust on several fronts to look at ways at improving fan engagement at the club.

Initiatives, such as the Family Coordinator have been introduced which hopefully you will agree has been very positive appointment. You can follow the Family co-ordinator on Twitter and on Facebook.

As part of this ongoing review, we are making changes to the role of Supporter Liason Officer (SLO) in recognition of the importance and scope of the role. At the start of the season, long serving senior steward Jane Stephenson became SLO and we have now decided to extend Jane’s role further to include the duties of Disabled Liason Officer (DLO) to ensure that our fantastic disabled supporters and those visiting from away have the best possible match-day experience.

We also recognise that to get the best from the SLO role, we need to increase the resource and therefore we are delighted to announce that Kristine Green is appointed in the role of joint SLO with immediate effect. Jane will focus on home SLO matters and Kristine on away and general matters. Kristine brings a wealth of experience to the SLO role and we are delighted to welcome her back.

Kristine commented “I would like to thank the club for inviting me back to work on SLO matters and I look forward to working with Jane to ensure we provide the very best service possible. Many of the clubs with the best SLO operations have more than one person involved and I am looking forward to helping to make GTFC one of those best practice clubs”.

You can follow the official GTFC SLO Twitter account for regular updates.
