Grimsby NCS: What Is National Citizen Service?

Grimsby Town Sports and Education Trust are currently recruiting 15-16 year olds (school year 11) to join our National Citizen Service (NCS) programme.

NCS is a Government-backed programme, which encourages young people to gain new life skills to set them up for the next steps in their lives.

The programme, which will take place in summer 2019, consists of four phases, with phase one being adventure – including abseiling, rock-climbing, and team-building.

Phase two offers participants to improve their life skills, including a focus on confidence, leadership, and communication, and the chance to boost their CV and UCAS personal statement.

Phase three is make your mark – where the whole NCS experience comes together, and allows the young people to deliver their very own social action project – plan, fundraise, and make a difference!

The final stage is the graduation where the participants will celebrate everything they’ve achieved with their teams, and showcase their social action projects to their friends and family, as well as receiving a signed certificate by the Prime Minister!

To book your place on this summer’s programme simply please visit www.ncsyes.co.uk and feel unstoppable together this summer!

If you’ve got any questions about the programme or would like to know more then please email us at ncs@gtfc.co.uk or call 01472 696481 (extension 2).
