The Mariners’ EA SPORTS FC 27 ratings are in, with plenty of changes from last year’s game.
With EA SPORTS FC 27 now released, we’ve taken a closer look at how the Mariners have been rated in this year’s edition – including the highest-rated players, biggest improvements and some of the standout attribute changes from FC 26.
Highest Rating
Three Mariners share the highest overall rating in FC 27, with Charles Vernam, Kieran Green and Harvey Rodgers all receiving a rating of 65.
That represents significant increases for both Vernam and Green.
Vernam has risen from 61 in FC 26 to 65 in FC 27, while Green has jumped from 62 to 65.
Rodgers has also seen his rating increase, moving from 63 to 65.
Cameron McJannet is next at 64, up one from his FC 26 rating of 63.
Andy Cook and Jamie Walker are both rated 63, with Cook dropping two points from 65 while Walker retains his 63 rating.
Biggest Ratings Risers
A number of Mariners have received notable upgrades in this year’s game.
Vernam’s four-point increase from 61 to 65 is the joint-biggest rise among players featured in both FC 26 and FC 27.
Green has also moved up three points, from 62 to 65, while Géza Dávid Turi has enjoyed a five-point increase, rising from 57 to 62.
Reece Staunton has gone from 59 to 62, while McJannet has moved from 63 to 64.
Elsewhere, Harvey Rodgers has risen two points from 63 to 65, while Cameron Gardner and Henry Brown have both received two-point increases.
Quickest Player
There is no change at the top when it comes to pace, with Justin Amaluzor once again the fastest Mariner.
Amaluzor has been given a 90 pace rating, just one point down on his 91 in FC 26.
Charles Vernam follows with 83 pace, unchanged from last year, while Joe Foulkes comes in at 74.
Harvey Rodgers and Iwan Morgan are both rated 73 for pace, with Jamie Walker and Jayden Sweeney both on 72.
Best Passers
Jamie Walker and Christy Pym are the Mariners’ joint-highest-rated passers in FC 27, both receiving a 63 passing rating.
Walker’s passing has dropped significantly from his FC 26 rating of 80, while Pym has moved from 64 to 63.
Kieran Green is next on 62, while Reece Staunton, Mark Shelton, Cian Doyle and several others are rated 59.
Strongest Player
Andy Cook remains the strongest Mariner in FC 27, with a 83 physicality rating.
That is a one-point decrease from his FC 26 rating of 84, but he remains comfortably ahead of the rest of the squad.
Harvey Rodgers and Cameron McJannet are both rated 74, while Doug Tharme, Sam Lavelle and Mark Shelton all have 73 physicality.
Josh Andrews, meanwhile, is rated 74.
A closer look at the changes
Several players have seen notable changes across their individual attributes, too.
Vernam retains his 83 pace, while his overall rating has increased from 61 to 65. His dribbling has also risen from 64 to 67.
Green’s overall rating has risen three points, while his physicality has increased from 69 to 72.
Rodgers has moved from 63 to 65 overall, with his physicality increasing from 74 to 76.
Turi’s five-point overall increase is accompanied by a pace rating of 68, compared with 68 in FC 26, while his defending has risen from 49 to 60.
Staunton has also seen his overall rating increase from 59 to 62, with his pace moving from 69 to 69 and physicality from 66 to 68.
