In an exciting crossover event for both football and music fans, Grimsby Town Football Club will partner with DocksFest music festival on Saturday 5th July – the day we launch our new away shirt.
The collaboration will allow festival-goers attending the event the opportunity to purchase the new shirt, made by our technical partners Umbro, from a GTFC-run stall after our in-store launch at the Blundell Park Club Shop which takes place between 9am and 1pm.
DocksFest brings seven top quality live bands, mixed with grassroots music and entertainment including silent disco tent and DJ. This year’s event promises a top lineup with bands such as The Charlatans, Ash, Maximo Park, Corella, Coach Party, EVER and Last of The Wonder Kids.
With a crowd of nearly 5,000 expected at the Meridian Showground for the festival, it’s the perfect local event to promote the Club’s new away shirt, as Grimsby Town FC’s Marketing & Communications Manager, Jack Johnson, explains, “We’re really excited to be a part of DocksFest this July. The festival offers a fantastic platform for us to engage with our community at a really popular local event and promote our new away shirt on the day it goes on sale. We’re looking forward to seeing fans and newcomers alike sporting our merch whilst enjoying some excellent music!”

Following the in-store launch on the morning of Saturday 5th July and the Club’s first game of pre-season against Cleethorpes Town that afternoon, festival-goers will now also have the chance to purchase the new away shirt and other merchandise from the main festival arena.
