Grimsby Town Women’s Team are delighted to announce the arrival of new signing Eden Pedersen from Hull City Ladies.
Eden developed in the Academy system at both Lincoln City and Leeds United’s Centre of Excellence respectively. She began her senior playing career with Leeds United and has also played at FA Women’s National League football with both Lincoln City and Hull City.
At 22 years old, Eden’s signing brings both ability and experience to the squad. She leads by example and will be a great role model for the younger players to look up to, learn and develop from.
Pedersen spoke to gtfc.co.uk following her signing and spoke of her delight at getting the deal done.
“I am delighted to be signing for my hometown club, it’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while now ever since they entered the women’s game. I’ve been keeping my eye on the club and it is very promising what they are trying to achieve, and I’m looking forward to joining this journey with the team as I think it will be something very special. I want to contribute to the club and hopefully, help them gain promotion up the leagues.
“I would say I’m a versatile hard-working player and I will give everything I have to the club as this is my passion. “I have seen the team play this season and I was very impressed by the togetherness of the team and each and every player was working hard for each other and that’s what I love.
“This season, the thing I would love to do the most is helping the team get promotion. I’m really looking forward to getting started now and meeting all my new teammates properly. Because from what I saw when I watched them recently, it looks like a friendly group, that’s really together and a great place to be”.
