Harrogate Travel Guide

Are you going to Harrogate on Boxing Day? If you are, make sure you read Kristine Green’s useful travel guide first.

What colour kit will the team be wearing?
We’ll be in blue for this Boxing Day fixture.

What’s the ticket information?
Our full allocation of 600 tickets for this fixture are sold with no further tickets available. Any away fans found in the home end will be asked to leave with no refund given.

The game will be available to view on Mariners TV.

How do I get to the ground?
Postcode for the ground: HG2 7SA

Leave the A1(M) at junction 47 and head towards A59 Knaresborough. Then follow signs A658 towards Bradford/Harrogate. At the second roundabout head towards A661 Harrogate. Pass the Sainsburys and head straight on at the lights (Woodlands Pub on one corner). The ground is on the right.

What stand are we in?
Both standing and seating are in the Barclay LED Solutions Terrace. Turnstiles are on Wetherby Road.

What time do the turnstiles open?
Turnstiles will open at 1.30pm

Where is the best place to park?
There’s street parking around the ground but please keep an eye out for any residential only/permit restrictions. There is no parking available at the ground.

The Cedar Court Hotel (HG1 5AH) offers matchday parking on a first come first served basis. You must book the car in at reception and pay before leaving it. This is a 15 minute walk from the ground.

Alternatively there are plenty of car parks in the town centre, that’s around 25 minutes away. You can get more information on town centre car parks here.

Is there any disabled parking?
There are no disabled parking spaces. Level Playing Field’s website suggests that those fans with a valid and in date blue badge can park on the grass verge outside the ground on Wetherby Road. The badge must be displayed but please take heed to any signage as it’s not absolutely clear how up to date this information is.

What is the nearest train station to the stadium and what is the approximate distance and walking time?
Nothing running on Boxing Day so independent/coach travel only.

Recommended pubs for away fans?
The Woodlands Pub on Wetherby Road (HG2 7AB) is only 10 minutes away – I have checked and it’s down to open at 12pm.

There are plenty of other pubs in the town centre (20-25 minute walk away). Be mindful that online opening hours may differ with it being Boxing Day.

Food available in the area?
Not a lot around the ground – plenty in the town centre but again be mindful of bank holiday openings.

Where is the nearest cash machine to the Stadium?
The co-op foodstore on St Winifreds Avenue West is the closest free to use cash machine – HG2 8LS.

What food and drink is available in the concourse at the stadium?
No alcohol is served in the away end. Usual pie and burgers as well as hot and cold drinks available.

The away end is card/contactless only.

Is a programme available?
A programme is available at a cost of £3.00

They can be ordered online here.

What is the flag/drum policy?
Flags are fine but must not be hung over advertising boards.

Drums are not permitted in the stadium.
