HERITAGE PROJECT TO CONNECT WITH THE FAMILY OF THE 1933-34 TEAM

The Grimsby Town Foundation’s heritage project #RememberWhenGTFC is looking to connect with the family of players and coaching staff associated with the 1933-34 season.

Following the launch of Rob McIlveen’s latest book, ‘Our Greatest Champions’, which focuses on the story of the 1933-34 campaign, the last time the Mariners were promoted to the top flight, the heritage project would like to make contact with the family of anyone who featured in that memorable team so they can share memories and be gifted a copy of the book.

If you are related to, or know of anyone related to any of the following former Mariners, please email kristinegreen@gtfc.co.uk.

Tommy Read

Jimmy Kelly

Hughie Jacobson

Alec ‘Ginger’ Hall

Harry Betmead

The heritage project isn’t just focussed on the early years of Grimsby Town FC and would love to talk to anybody with memories and memorabilia from any point in the Club’s history. Contact can be made by visiting the football club or by emailing kristinegreen@gtfc.co.uk directly.
