ICYMI |Freeview | Harry Clifton On Wales U21 Call-Up

Grimsby Town midfielder Harry Clifton remains focused on his personal development and progress, after being called up to the Wales U21 squad.

The 20-year-old, who came through Town’s youth academy, has been called up to the Wales U21 squad for their training camp in South Wales later this month.

And Clifton, who is eligible to play for Wales through his Grandfather, said he is concentrating on improving and becoming better.

Speaking exclusively on iFollow Mariners, he said: “Long may it continue, but I know I’ve got here through hard work so that has to continue.

“You have steps in your career and you have ambitions that you want to do, and this is obviously one of them – to represent a country internationally.

“But I know it’s just the start – it’s just a training camp, and I’ll just keep my feet on the ground.

“And I know I’ve got to perform well, and try and impress the manager and the staff.

“I’m there to be judged – there’s a lot of lads there, and it’s Monday to Friday so I’ve got to make sure I’m right and I train well and show good attitude.

“And then we’ll see what happens from there, but I’m not getting carried away with anything!

“But it is nice how it keeps building up and I keep getting extra opportunities, so hopefully there’s more to come!”

Clifton will train with Rob Page’s Wales U21 squad, whose assistant manager is ex-Town striker Jack Lester, between March 19 and March 22.
