In recent months, the Sports Ground Safety Authority (SGSA) has raised concern about persistent standing, with the Pontoon Stand being highlighted as the main area of concern.

The club is required to adopt a proactive approach to this and failure to do so may result in the club being issued with a significant fine and in a worst-case scenario, facing stand closure until the situation is under control. The persistent standing at the front of the Pontoon Stand also causes safety and security issues. The club has also received several e-mails from supporters with tickets in the Pontoon Stand, complaining about the persistent standing.

With this in mind, we understand the desire and passion shown by our fans but encourage supporters to remain in their seats throughout the duration of fixtures here at Blundell Park.
