Information for supporters travelling to Prenton Park tomorrow

Supporters making the trip to Prenton Park for Town’s final Sky Bet League Two fixture of the regular season against Tranmere Rovers are advised of the following information ahead of matchday.

Kit Colour:

The Mariners will be wearing our red and blue away kit for this fixture.

Ticket Information:

Town received an allocation of 2,000 tickets for this fixture and the game is now officially sold out.

There will be no further tickets available through the Club.

Away Supporters:

Town supporters will be located in the Cowshed Stand, a covered all-seater stand behind the goal.

Getting to the Ground:

By Car:

From the M6/M56:
Use the M53 and exit at Junction 4 onto the B5151 from the fourth exit of the roundabout. The ground is signposted from there.

After approximately two-and-a-half miles, Mount Road leads onto Storeton Road. Turn right at the traffic lights near the church onto Prenton Road West. The stadium is further down on the right-hand side.

From Liverpool City Centre:
Travel through the Kingsway (Wallasey) Mersey Tunnel (toll charge applies), then continue on the M53 to Junction 3.

Take the first exit signposted Birkenhead and continue for approximately one mile, passing Sainsbury’s on the left. Stay in the right-hand lane and turn right at the traffic lights by the Halfway House pub. Continue for 500 yards, then turn left at the next lights into Prenton Road West.

Prenton Park will be visible on the right-hand side.

Parking:

There is parking available at Prenton Park, costing £7 per car. Advance booking is required via turf tickets.co.uk.

Street parking is available in surrounding areas, but supporters are reminded to check resident restrictions and note that some road closures may be in place one hour before kick-off and 30 minutes after full-time.

The Mersey Clipper pub next to the ground has a small car park, although spaces are expected to fill early.

Disabled Supporters:

A limited number of accessible parking spaces are available at the stadium and are prioritised for Blue Badge holders.

By Train:

Both Birkenhead Central and Rock Ferry railway stations are approximately one mile from the stadium, around a 20-minute walk.

Food & Drink:

There are a number of food options near the stadium, including a deli, fish and chip shop, Tesco Express and additional takeaways on Borough Road.

Inside the away end, supporters can purchase hot and cold drinks, burgers, pies and snacks for younger fans.

Both cash and card payments are accepted.

Alcohol is also available in the away end concourse, although sales may be suspended if pyrotechnics are used.

Cash Machines:

A free-to-use cash machine is located at Tesco Express on Borough Road near the away end.

Programme:

A 48-page printed matchday programme is available priced at £3.50.

These can be purchased inside Prenton Park or from the Club Shop.

Flags & Drums:

Supporters wishing to bring flags into the stadium must ensure they have relevant safety certificates. Stewards will advise on placement upon arrival.

Drums are not permitted.

  • Prenton Park Pub (CH42 9JG)
  • Halfway House (CH42 9QE)

Please note the previous tented fan zone in the main car park is no longer in operation.

However, the Tranmere Trust are hosting a matchday pop-up next to Preston Park, with away supporters welcome. Food and drink will be available before and after the game.

Abusive, indecent or discriminatory behaviour – including racist, homophobic, sexist, sectarian, xenophobic or anti-disability language or actions – will not be tolerated.

The Club may issue bans, including indefinite bans, to anyone engaging in such behaviour.
