Inside The Mariner – Carlisle United

The Mariner matchday programme will be on sale today for the visit of play-off chasing Carlisle United (kick-off 3pm).

A 64-page edition of the publication will be available from around the ground. Here’s what you’ll find inside the programme:

  • Alex Whitmore talks about the healthy level of competition in the Town defence in the feature interview.

  • Following the recent arrivals from overseas, Jack Johnson writes about other foreign players who have played for the club.

  • Mariners boss Michael Jolley reflects on this campaign and looks ahead to next season in his exclusive notes.

  • There’s an in-depth look at our opponents, their manager Steven Pressley, squad biographies and Kirky’s ‘Complete History’ between the two clubs.

  • Next to be inducted into The Mariners’ Hall of Fame is a Grimsby-born defender that skippered the club in the 80s.

  • We get to know Swede Sebastian Ring a little better in ‘In Focus’.

  • There’s a profile on Tony Gallimore who played for both The Mariners and Carlisle

  • We’ve got action photos from the recent games against Bury and Morecambe

  • Both Grimsby Town Sports & Education Trust and The Mariners Trust provide updates on their excellent community work.

  • And there’s photos, stats, classic Jim Connor cartoons, On This Day facts and an illustrated centrefold of the moment Kevin Donovan scored in the 1998 play-off final at Wembley.

All of this great content, and more besides, in tomorrow’s matchday programme. Make sure you pick up your copy for £3 around the ground!
