We can confirm that Jackson Smith’s emergency loan was extended for a further 7-days earlier this week.

The Barnsley goalkeeper made his Mariners debut in our 1-0 win away at Gillingham at the beginning of October and has since played in two fixtures at Blundell Park and featured in our win away at Salford on Saturday.

This means that Smith is eligible for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two game against his former club Walsall at Blundell Park.
