Level Playing Field Game

This weekend’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against Port Vale is designated to the work of Level Playing Field and we are holding several activities throughout the week leading up to the game. Level Playing Field is a registered charity in England and Wales dedicated to disabled sports fans, and acts as a campaigning and advisory organisation to its membership and other parties across the sporting industry.

Grimsby Town Football club are fully supportive of the organisation and have been working extremely hard to ensure that all of our disabled fans have good experiences coming to Blundell Park.

The club have recently been awarded the Equality Code of Practice, Town and other league clubs across the country have successfully completed the first year of a ground-breaking pilot that sets standards for equality in professional football.

The Football League’s Code of Practice was introduced as part of a commitment to English football’s Inclusion & Anti-Discrimination Action Plan which ensures clubs are inclusive across all sections of their business. This incorporates match day operations, general operations, community trust, youth development, fans and the first team.

Grimsby Town Football club successfully passed an independent assessment across 12 areas of operation ensuring good practice extends to all employees, spectators and other people engaged with the club.
